Artist Statement
My art is grounded in questioning good ideas. There is too much confidence, certainty, and logic behind a good idea. My work comes from a place of doubt, uncertainty, and a deep-rooted curiosity about the ambiguity between what is real and what is unreal. I search for meaning in the gaps between perceptions of truth. While in that space, I grapple with how ideas and emotions can take form as tangible objects.

     --Ross HIlgers, 2026
