Guided Tours

Groups of 10 or more are welcome to schedule a guided tour of The Rourke and our exhibits.  Tour rates are $2 per adult, $1 per student or child.  We require one chaperone or teacher per 10 students or children (chaperones and teachers pay at the $2 adult tour rate.)
We ask that reservations for tours be made at least two weeks in advance; however, less notice can be accommodated if our schedule permits.

Accessibility

The Museum's accessible entrance is located on 6th Street South, the east side of the building. Accessible parking is available in the shared parking lot with the Moorhead Public Library as well as immediately adjacent to the accessible entrance on 6th Street.

All three floors of the Museum building are accessible by elevator and there is a wheelchair accessible restroom on the lower level of the building.

Public Transportation

Public transportation to and from The Rourke is available via the Metro Area Transit (MATbus).
The museum is serviced by Route 1 every half hour every 18 and 48 minutes after the hour.

For more information on fares and paratransit options, please visit the MATBUS website.

Tips for an Enjoyable Visit

Check Your Belongings
The Rourke requires visitors to check all backpacks, briefcases, umbrellas, and other parcels larger than 11" x 14" with the gallery attendant.

Look, But Don't Touch
While we encourage you to engage with the art presented in the Rourke, please avoid touching any artwork. Paintings and other works of art are fragile and natural oils on your skin could damage the surface.

Photography
Visitors to the Rourke’s permanent collection galleries are welcome to take photographs or video for personal, noncommercial use. Photography may not be permitted in some special exhibitions and may be restricted for loaned works of art, as indicated by a “No Camera” symbol on the gallery wall. Tripods, monopods, and flash lighting are prohibited at all times.

The Rourke reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to withhold and/or withdraw permission to photograph on its premises or to reproduce photographs of objects in its collection.

Food & Drinks
Food and drinks are not permitted in the galleries.
