Call for Artwork - Fergus Falls Journal
Lake Region Arts Council Would you like to have your artwork featured in Daily Journal Media's largest magazine of the year? They are accepting high resolution photo submissions for consideration for their 2024 edition of "Progress" until the end of the year. Winning art will be on display in Daily Journal Media's office February through December. Artists of all ages are welcome to submit their art in their chosen medium. The theme for "Progress" is ... Fall Legacy Grants
Lake Region Arts Council The Legacy Individual Grant provides up to $6,000 ($3,000 for equipment) to individual artists in the LRAC nine-county region, to increase Arts Access, Arts Learning and Arts and Cultural Heritage opportunities for all Minnesotans. Minnesota Historical Society NAAIR is a six to twelve month residency for Native American artists that focuses on collections research, community outreach and transference of intergenerational knowledge, supported by the Native American Initiatives (NAI) Department at MNHS. NAAIR was created in 2013 to support the continuation and recovery of traditional Native art forms. Learn more: https://mnhs.info/3ra22o4 River Valley Ripple Artist Residency Department of Public Transformation and The YES! House The River Valley Ripple Artist Residency program will provide a unique, close-to-home opportunity for up to 6 emerging and/or established artists to dedicate time to their practice, connect with a regional network of creative people and programs, and share their work with friends, family, and neighbors in a casual “artist salon” public showcase. Each participating artist will spend 1 to 4 weeks at The YES! House in Granite Falls, MN, where they will be provided with a living space, studio space, a welcome-to-town meal at a local establishment, a downtown walking tour, introductions to other artists, community partners, and local residents, and support in promoting and hosting an ‘artist salon’ public event. Residencies will be scheduled in collaboration with selected artists between the months of December 2023–May 2024. In addition, each participating artist will receive a $500 weekly stipend to support their cost of living during their residency and up to $150 for supplies and materials. To be considered for the program artists must reside in the 18 counties of Southwestern Minnesota. The River Valley Ripple Artist Residency application is open to all artists and all disciplines. In the selection process, priority will be given to Native, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), and LGBTQ2IA+ artists and culture bearers. We want to not only support and encourage those creatives but help them connect with the public in a fun, informative, and inclusive way.
