Plexiglas Drypoint with
​Courtney Donahue - Virtual Class

Duration: 20 minutes, 06 seconds
Explore new methods of printmaking at home by learning drypoint on Plexiglas! This intermediate printmaking course (ages 12 and up), led by Courtney Donahue, will teach you how to prepare your plate, etch your image, and properly ink and print with your etched plate. 

Supplies to gather at home:
  • Plexiglas (cut to your preferred size) 
  • single-cut file
  • etching needle -or- Exacto knife
  • metal spoon
  • intaglio ink (use a water-based ink for easy at-home clean-up!) 
  • permanent marker
  • mat board chips -or- pieces of cardboard
  • rag
  • newsprint
  • copy paper
  • printmaking paper
  • water in spray bottle
  • sketch, image to transfer to plate

Courtney Donahue is the Collections Coordinator & Registrar at The Rourke. She attended MSUM where she received a BFA in Studio Art with an emphasis in Printmaking.
