Interested in creating your own abstract art but uncertain where to start?  This new all-ages course led by Cameron Peterson will help you develop both an appreciation for and confidence to engage with non-objective art. Learn three different approaches to understand and explore the field of abstraction. Practice these methods, then create your own monochromatic abstract piece!

Supplies to gather at home:
  • charcoal/conte (or soft graphite, in a pinch)
  • erasers
  • paper
  • a paper towel or rag
  • fixative or hairspray

Cameron Peterson is the co-owner of Funhouse Press and the Exhibition Coordinator at The Rourke. He lives in Moorhead, MN with his partner, Annette DuBord, and their two cats.
