Cameron Peterson : Nowhere is Somewhere

On view 8 November 2019 - 12 January 2020 in the Gustavian and Katherine Kilbourne Burgum Galleries

Picture
Cameron Peterson was born 21 April 1977 in Langdon, North Dakota. He resided in northwest Minnesota and northeast North Dakota during his formative year—spending hours playing in the trees and rivers of Minnesota and enjoying the expansive, windy, wide open skies of North Dakota.

Cameron obtained his BFA from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a concentration in printmaking. His work has been exhibited in the Fargo-Moorhead area since 2001, including 10 solo exhibitions and various group exhibitions. He has also produced commissioned prints for The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum, Smokey Hill River Festival, Arts Partnership (Giving Hearts Day), and Spirit Room.

He currently lives in Fargo with his life partner Annette (“Nettie”) DuBord and there two cats. Cameron works at The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum and runs the Funhouse Press Studio. He enjoys cross country skiing when he gets a chance and seeing all the different types of art that come through The Rourke.
