Have you ever wondered how beautiful, artisanal papers are made?  Do you have questions like, “Can I make paper out of junk mail … or dryer lint?” (Hint: the answer to these questions is “Yes, but …”) Participants in this class will learn about paper pulp and inclusions, will try out the papermaker’s tools, and pull a few sheets of paper! We’ll go over all the steps of basic papermaking and learn a bit about the history and applications for handmade paper.

• Each class participant will bring home a few sheets of handmade paper.
• ​Supplies and equipment are provided by the instructor.
• This class will be messy — Please dress accordingly!
• This class will be held outdoors.
