Get to Know Your Sewing Machine, with Cynthia McGuire Thiel

If your sewing machine seems more like a mystery than a useful tool, join sewist Cynthia McGuire Thiel for a basic stitching class using your own machine. Cynthia will teach about proper threading, tension, and stitch types. General machine use and maintenance will also be covered.

Supply needed for class:

• Sewing machine in good working order
• Extension cord
• Basic sewing supplies (machine needles, pins, thread, fabric scissors, etc.)
• Machine manual

About Your Instructor:

Cynthia McGuire Thiel has been sewing since the age of three, when her involvement in her mother's sewing room evolved from taking naps under the cutting table to operating the sewing machine.  She creates custom clothing and sewing commissions from her Fargo studio.
